Customer terms of use
Last updated August 23, 2026
These terms are for homeowners and other customers who request help on UrgentHelpLA (www.urgenthelpla.com). They do not apply to contractors buying leads. This is not legal advice.
1. Who we are
UrgentHelpLA matches you with one independent local contractor for water damage, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work in your ZIP. We are not a contractor, insurer, or 911 dispatcher. We do not perform the repair. If life or property is in immediate danger, call 911.
2. Your request
You must be 18 or older and able to authorize work at the property. Information you submit must be accurate. Submitting a request asks UrgentHelpLA and one matched contractor to contact you by phone and text about that job. Consent is not required to hire a contractor you already know.
We send your request to one contractor for that ZIP and trade. We do not auction your number to a list of companies. We do not guarantee that a contractor will accept the job, arrive at a set time, or complete the work.
3. Diagnostic visit
The contractor presents a $99 diagnostic visit. If you authorize the repair with that contractor, the diagnostic charge is credited in full on their invoice. If you decline the work or hire another company after they have arrived, the diagnostic visit remains payable to that contractor. That charge is between you and the contractor. It is not a fee paid to UrgentHelpLA.
4. The contractor’s work
Pricing, licenses, insurance, parts, warranty, and quality of work are the contractor’s responsibility. Review their estimate before you authorize repairs. Disputes about the job are between you and the contractor. UrgentHelpLA is not a party to that contract.
5. Calls and texts
By checking the consent box and submitting a request, you agree that UrgentHelpLA and the matched contractor may call and text the number you provide about that request, including with an autodialer. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts from us. We may send a short follow-up about the same request. Marketing texts beyond that service, if any, will use separate consent.
6. Acceptable use
Do not submit fake emergencies or another person’s number without authority. We may refuse or cancel a request if we believe these terms were violated.
7. Privacy
How we collect and share your information is in our Privacy policy. We share your request with one matched contractor so they can contact you.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT A CONTRACTOR IS AVAILABLE OR THAT ANY REPAIR WILL SUCCEED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, URGENTHELPLA IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE CONTRACTOR’S ACTS, OMISSIONS, DELAYS, OR WORKMANSHIP, OR FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR A CLAIM ABOUT THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
Some California consumer rights cannot be waived. Nothing here limits those rights.
9. California law
These terms are governed by California law. Venue for court disputes is Los Angeles County, California.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the revised terms.
